On December 7th , 2004, the fast-growing USB flash drive
industry witnesses another milestone in its intellectual
properties: Netac Technology Co., Ltd. (www.netac.com)
is authorized with core patent of USB Flash Drive (UFD)
by U.S authority. It is the most prominant patent authorized
ever in UFD industry in U.S.
The Patent, with patent number: US 6,829,672, named
"ELECTRONIC FLASH MEMORY EXTERNAL STORAGE METHOD
AND DEVICE" was applied to the United States Patent
and Trademark Office by Deng Guoshun and Cheng Xiaohua,
co-founders of Netac Technology Co., Ltd, from which
most people first know UFD.
The Patent was authorized with reference to 15 U.S.
and 4 existing international documents in mobile storage
area, including 2 reference patents from M-Systems.

With this patent in the U.S., it ends lots of disputes
in the industry and further confirms Netac as the inventor
of UFD.
